Aberdeen based, National Karate Institute hosted a masters karate course together with the Sentrum Karate Club from Haugersund, Skudeneshaven and Stavanger Norway, at the International School in Aberdeen.

International Karate Festival

International School, Aberdeen, National Karate Institute (NKI) display traditional shotokan karate to an audience of over 300 - £2000 raised for tsunami relief.
Ronnie Watt 8th Dan, ORS — now awarded the OBE
Ronnie has been awarded OBE in the Queen's New Year Honours List for his services to Karate in Scotland and in recognition of his unsurpassed contribution.

The National Karate Institute chief instructor Ronnie Watt 8th Dan ORS was delighted to award Christopher Bruce with his NKF 6th Dan. 28 November 2010.
Masters Course & Kata Clinic Nov 2010
Three hours intensive training sessions each day plus two hour Kata Clinic for seniors. Sensei Paul Kee 7th Dan (and Scandinavian Champion) and Shihan Watt instruct on the deeper meaning and precise technical aspects of the Shitei and Sentei katas.

Japanese Consulate Lecture by Lord Charles Bruce
Consul General of Japan organised lecture by Lord Charles Bruce whose ancestor negotiated the treaty between Great Britain and Japan in 1853. Ronnie Watt, Order of the Rising Sun, 8th Dan, was invited.
NKF Course 4th-5th Sept 2010
Successful course attended by Dr Fritz Wendland, the WKC founding president who has been teaching and training karate over the past 48 years.
Queen grants permission for wearing of honour
The Queen has granted unrestricted permission allowing Ronnie Watt 8th Dan ORS to wear the Order of the Rising Sun which was conferred on him by His Majesty The Emperor of Japan.
Simon and Tyrone Honoured
Courageous Simon Robertson who has nearly lost his sight after a horrendous assault was presented with his 4th Dan today at a ceremony by Ronnie Watt 8th Dan WKC Director of Shotokan.
